Each year, a small group of Year 11 students and staff travel to Rabaul, PNG to spend 12 days with the students at the Edmund Rice Life Training Centre. For every group this is an eye-opening and life-changing experience for all, developing and continuing relationships. Our two communities come together to share the heart of our humanity, to learn from one another and to show love regardless of difference.
For the St Patrick’s College boys this immersion brings light to global issues, deepens their sense of gratitude and fills them with an understanding of how they can live their lives with compassion and in the service (not rescue!) of others. Words cannot express the feelings of our boys and their buddies, with these connections living long beyond the here and now.
